The European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) announces the partnership agreement with the East African Chamber of Commerce (EACCIA)
The East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA) has been in existence since September 2005 when it was legally incorporated in Nairobi, Kenya, with the main objective of lobbying for the creation of a conducive environment for cross border trade and investment in the East African Community (EAC) member states. EACCIA represents chambers of commerce in 10 countries in the Eastern Africa region with a collective membership base of over 100,000 corporates comprising the entire spectrum from small, medium and large enterprises.

The 61st Conference of the European Trade Promotion Organisations on "Connecting Europe with Africa: promoting economic collaboration and dialogue", was hosted in Athens by Enterprise Greece (Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company), on 21-22 October 2021.
The hybrid conference was attended by senior and top executives of European Export Promotion Organisations, representatives of Directorates General of the European Commission and international organisations such as the UN and OECD, as well as senior executives of European and African companies in the energy and high-tech sectors.
EBCAM's Secreatery General Mr. Spachis presented European private sector's perspectives, needs and concerns towards a sustainable development of the African continent. He made also valuable recommendations on a dynamic public-private partnership which can succesfully prevent unethical competition by non-western players in Africa. In the same panel, called "EU international cooperation and development", Mr. Mousouris, the President of the Hellenic-African Chamber of Commerce and Development (member of EBCAM), presented the perspective of the Greek companies that invest in Africa.

The European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) is happy to announce the partnership agreement with the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME).
ASCAME is a non-profit international organisation that represents the private sector of the Mediterranean, regrouping the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and similar entities from 23 countries of both shores of the region.
EBCAM General Assembly unanimously reelects Mr. Etienne GIROS as President
EBCAM is happy to announce that on Thursday 24 June 2021, during the 25th EBCAM General Assembly, current President Mr. Etienne GIROS, has been unanimously re-elected for a new three-year term.
Mr GIROS declared his commitment to carry on all the objectives and achievements of the last three years. He expressed his willing to continue increasing EBCAM position to ease the networking between its members, in order to strengthen the community spirit of the association.
EBCAM, an international non-profit organization (AISBL) based in Brussels, was founded in 1973 with the main aim of representing investors and operators in Africa. Through its members, it represents today about 5,000 European companies with interests in the African continent and hundreds of thousands of employees. Their activities cover the complete range of commerce, industry and services. EBCAM is the only organization that comprehensively represents the range of business activities undertaken in Africa by European companies.

During the internship, you will receive a number of responsibilities to gain experience and develop your skill set by:
- Going to conferences/participating in webinars representing EBCAM, assisting to various meetings physical/online and producing reports, collecting information, assisting in organizing events and preparing general assemblies (logistics, documentation, convocations, and minutes), researching and disseminating relevant information related to European and other Brussels-based Institutions activities on Africa and development cooperation, as well as assisting with office organization and management;
- Providing updates for EBCAM members and for website with valuable content; generate content through research and interviews with important stakeholders and prominent members; contribute to communicate EBCAM newsletter twice per week.

The European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) is happy to announce the partnership agreement with the European Chamber of Commerce in Togo (EUROCHAM - Togo).
The signature of the agreement will initiate and strengthen the cooperation between EBCAM and EUROCHAM Togo with main focus the development of Africa, sharing good practice for doing business in Africa and improving the environment for business through collective positions and policy advocacy towards African and European governments and institutions, international financial institutions and other key international organisations.

The European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) is happy to announce the partnership agreement with the European Business Chamber of Rwanda (EBCR).
EBCR is an organisation legally registered in Rwanda of European and Rwandan entrepreneurs working together to promote business relations between Europe and Rwanda and to facilitate European companies doing business in Rwanda.
