On 26 October 2023, the European Business Council for Africa (EBCAM) had its last General Assembly for 2023 online. EBCAM members from all over Europe participated and exhanged valuable views on recent developments about the African continent, information and scepticism about the political and economic instability of some countries, mainly in the Sahel, that threatens the economic growth of the region, activities from their associations and news from their member companies that operate across Africa.

During the meeting online, EBCAM members had the chance to meet with Mr. George Dura, Acting Deputy Head of Unit, Unit A2 - Regional and Multi-Country Programmes for Africa (INTPA.A) who gave us an overview of recent activities of the European Union related to the partnership with African countries such as cooperation in programmes, projects and funding opportunities. 

EBCAM will meet again in March 2024 in Athens, Greece for its 32nd General Assembly.
