14th March 2025
Montecarlo, Monaco
On March 13th and 14th, the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean held its 35th General Assembly, hosted by our member CEMA - Club des Entrepreneurs Monégasques en Afrique, in Montecarlo, the Principality of Monaco.
Representing widely the European private sector operating in Africa, our members from across Europe engaged in stimulating discussions on the operational implementation of the Global Gateway, the advocacy strategies to advance EBCAM's vision and goals at the EU level, and how to expand and facilitate the presence of European SMEs on African markets.
The General Assembly also welcomed Zyad Limam, an international journalist, editor, and founder of the Afrique Magazine, as a guest speaker. This was an invaluable opportunity for our members to discuss the need for new narratives around African growth in Europe, as well as the acknowledgment of Africa's new role and position in current global affairs.
Lastly, this General Assembly saw the Eastern Africa Association rejoin us as a member, further reinforcing our ongoing collaboration.
Many thanks to CEMA for hosting us! EBCAM will hold its next General Assembly in Paris.
