33rd EBCAM General Assembly

The 33rd GA of the European Business Council for Africa (EBCAM) took place in Paris on 28 June, hosted by its French member Cian - Conseil français des investisseurs en Afrique.
EBCAM welcomed for another time from allover Europe representatives from all member associations to discuss latest news that concern the relationship between the African and European continent.
EBCAM members led discussions on various topics including the impact of new European regulation on private companies operating in Africa, the recent European elections, how the results will affect Africa-Europe relations in economic and political level and new mandates in the European Commission, the European Council and the European External Action Service.
Latest news from African countries, experiences from trade missions, bilateral trade relations between European and African countries, bottlenecks and challenges, new trends and success stories from companies and projects in different sectors such as energy, infrastructure, education, critical raw materials, digital transition and the automotive sector were also at the center of the discussions.
Lastly, EBCAM congratulates Étienne GIROS, president of Cian - Conseil français des investisseurs en Afrique, for his re-election for another three-year term in the presidency of EBCAM, Christoph Kannengiesser, CEO of Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft (German - African Business Association), for his re-election in the Executive Board, Mathilde Emilie Thue, CEO of Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA), for her election in the Executive Board and Alexandros Spachis for his re-election for a three-year term as Secretary General of EBCAM. Michel de Wolf from CBL-ACP and Sotirios Mousouris from the Hellenic African Chamber of Commerce & Development remain in the Executive Board.

EBCAM's next official meeting will be in October in Brussels.
