Brussels, 5 August 2022

The European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Union Business Group Tanzania.

The European Business Group Tanzania was formed in 2014 and is a strategic partner for improving Tanzania’s business climate and promoting trade and investment between Europe and Tanzania. The European Business Group Tanzania is supported by the EU, its Member States and EFTA Diplomatic Missions and is intended to act as a structured association in support of the European private sector operating in the United Republic of Tanzania. This group allows firms to exchange information and experience and carry out advocacy and lobby activities together under one common “European businesses” banner.

The association aims to promote and strengthen the ties between the private sector in the European Union and Tanzania, fostering lasting partnerships to achieve long-lasting meaningful growth. It is a most invaluable partner in promoting trade and economic cooperation.

The MoU will strengthen the cooperation between EBCAM and the EUBGTZ with the aim of collaborating to promote socio-economic development in Tanzania, focusing on the promotion of development, trade and investment on the African continent.
