Ultimately, this mission supports long-term sectoral growth, job creation, and sustainable agriculture in the DRC.
- With over 100 million inhabitants, the DRC is one of Africa’s largest countries and holds significant agricultural potential. However, domestic poultry production remains limited, largely due to outdated equipment, capital constraints, and a reliance on expensive imports of frozen chicken and eggs. Urban demand continues to rise, and local supply cannot keep pace, leading to high consumer prices and increased food insecurity.
