This series of seminars provides current and practice-relevant content in the area of economic activity of companies in Africa.
Content in brief:
The two-part seminar provides current and practice-relevant content in the area of the security situation in Africa and basic knowledge of security-oriented project planning and employee deployment to Africa. On the basis of this information, you will improve your ability to understand and design requirements for security concepts and modern travel risk management and in doing so also fulfill the legal duty of care of the project manager and/or dispatcher. You will also expand your knowledge of marketable options for "instruments" for foreign/travel risk management.
Security situation and changes in Africa:
• Description of the status quo
• Background to the status quo and developments towards it
• Security actors in Africa
• Common phenomena with security implications
• Potential consequences for companies; including “secondary topics” supply chains & compliance
• “Forecast” of developments
Challenges and opportunities for planners & senders:
• Basic requirements of the duty of care on the part of planners/senders
• Requirements from third parties (e.g. financiers)
• Role of professional service providers in security conception
• ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management as the new “technical standard”
Travel risk management:
• “Instruments” of travel risk management (according to ISO 31030): hotline, apps, travel(ler) tracking etc.
• Role of governance in the company: e.g. the travel policy
• Typical internal company challenges when implementing travel risk management
The participation fee is EUR 350 net for AV members; non-members pay EUR 700 net. The modules can also be booked individually.
Together with the speakers from AV member company Result Group GmbH, we will deal with important issues in the area of project planning and employee deployment to Africa. The event is intended to address fundamental questions of your “daily practice” and provide orientation.
