The seminar conveys current and practice-oriented content in the field of economic activities of companies in Africa.

We take a look at typical un-security actors and security phenomena that are widely encountered in Africa. We also address the impact of the security situation on economic elements such as supply chain security and compliance challenges (combating money laundering, sanctions lists, dual-use goods). Finally, we venture an outlook on the possible future development , based on the past in connection with the expected and upcoming events in 2023.

For companies, the specific question arises as to how the corporate duty of care can actually be met in such an environment. What is necessary, what would be recommended, etc. In addition, of course, the economic risk must also be kept acceptable. The ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management published in September 2021 now offers good and important starting points for the secondment of personnel, which are examined.

Increasingly, however, third parties, such as large banks as financiers, are also making demands on the security concepts of a project. Here, professional service providers can make very valuable contributions, especially in the needs analysis at the beginning of a project planning and of course also in the conceptual design itself. Ultimately, the local partners of such service providers can represent important components in the security concept.

Together with the speaker of our Africa Association, member of the Result Group GmbH from Pöcking am Starnberger See , which has been advising and supporting companies with security concepts, foreign projects and travel risk management since 1996, we will deal with important issues in the field of project planning and employee deployment to Africa on this day occupy.

This event will be held in German.
