Afrika-Verein invites you to the 15th German-African Energy Forum "Turning Tables and Breaking Habits: Energy Transition through Africa's lens". The Forum will be a live event in Hamburg on June 1st & 2nd, 2022 at the Emporio Tower.
Our main topics are:
- Renewable Energy (solar for industry, transition of hydro, financing RE)
- Hydrogen (cross-sector partnerships + consortia, framework, implementation)
- Transition (gas-to-"value creation", green(er) production, financing transition)
- Infrastructure (grid, regional integration, logistics, stable supply etc.)
- Innovation (green fuels, smart systems for transition etc.)
- Finance & Framework (access to finance, PPPs, the regulatory framework in RE and energy supply)
- Value addition (job creation, shift of supply and production, sustainability)
- Community (networks & lobby's, establishing successful consortia)
Our participants and target group will be German, African and European decision-makers in business and politics, equipment manufacturers, project developers, utilities, financiers & investors, development cooperation and think tanks. We expect up to 400 participants (depending on covid-19 restrictions and circumstances).
It is Hamburg's 15th Energy Africa (the German-African Energy Forum) goal to identify new and optimised action points for a strong African footprint in a global energy transition and build partnerships for the future.
