 “The Contribution of Quality Infrastructure to Sustainable Development”

Organized by UNIDO in cooperation with the African Union, it will be held on:

4 April 2019 at the Stanhope Hotel Brussels, Belgium.

The Forum will focus on best practices of quality infrastructure for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), and it will look at how sustainability standards can help the private sector achieve the SDGs. It will gather representatives of international quality infrastructure governance bodies and practitioners, and will combine interventions by policymakers, technical experts, members of the private sector and developmental partners that will set the scene for future collaboration on quality infrastructure. The Forum will also serve to identify priority interventions for the development of quality infrastructure systems in support of the Third Industrial Development Decade for Africa 2016-2025 (IDDA III).
